FARO Scene 2025.2

FARO is pleased to announce the release of SCENE and SCENE LT version 2025.2.This release includes registration, visualization, scan quality, and speed improvements. It also includes many bug fixes. Please see the Scene release notes for more information.

Highlights

• Point clouds (scan and project) now support back-face culling, so that surfaces are hidden when looking at them from the backside. This feature is optional and does not work for point clouds created in older SCENE versions without recreating scan and project point clouds.
• You can now create registration areas in scans, for example in mobile scans based on a temporal selection, or in any scan based on a selection. These registration areas can be used to register large scans with other scans only using the points in the registration areas.
